This pretty cottage enjoys a fantastic location in one of Norfolk’s much-loved market towns, Holt. Known for its classic Georgian architecture and its interesting array of independent stores and artisan shops, Holt is an excellent base for exploring the beaches, towns, and countryside of North Norfolk. To add another layer of vintage authenticity to the town, there is even a steam train line, the North Norfolk Railway, which runs from Holt to the seaside town of Sheringham via the coastal village of Weybourne, offering an interesting and relaxing day out. Weybourne is also home to the nearest beach, lying just 4 miles north of the property, whilst the sandy beach and pier at Cromer are located an easy 10 mile drive away.

From the outside this delightful cottage appears like any other well-maintained traditional terrace, however, once inside guests are able to see just how much care and attention the owners have put into sympathetically updating the property to create a beautiful retreat which is both stylish and light-filled. The first room that guests come to is the open-plan lounge/diner, a lovely room with well-chosen furnishings, a feature fireplace, and a TV/DVD. Beyond the lounge area, the dining area is the perfect place to enjoy leisurely meals and comfortably seats four guests. The kitchen, at the rear of the property, is just as well-finished as the rest of the house and offers a good range of equipment including an oven, hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, washing machine and dishwasher. Just off from the kitchen there is a convenient cloakroom with WC. Doors from the lounge/diner open onto a hidden staircase,  steep cottage style stairs which leads up to the bedrooms. The master bedroom is a charming double room benefitting from an en-suite shower and WC. The second bedroom, meanwhile, is a gorgeous twin room, off from which two steps lead down to a second en-suite shower room with a corner shower and WC.

To the rear of the property, there is an attractive garden which can be accessed from the kitchen and which offers a shingled path leading to a tranquil patio area with garden furniture. To the front of the property the driveway has space to park one car.

The cottage is a great base for exploring North Norfolk, and even better is the fact that it's a 10 minute walk into the great town of Holt .

Lovely cottage. Very steep staircase, but our 7 year olds were fine with it. Perfect location for walking just a few minutes into the town. Lovely clean and fresh cottage with everything you would need for a week away. Comfy beds and decent shower. Nice garden area with sun trap at the bottom. Would stay again.

Good for summer but poor in winter. Front bedroom was so very cold i wondered if it was haunted! bedding felt damp. Heavy condensation on window pooling on windowsill continually No extraction in ensuite. No power points near mirrors and very bad lighting throughout - could hardly see to read or use a mirror . We loved the cottage it was convenient and really comfortable with everything you would need. The garden was an added bonus as it was hot but the living area was nice and cool very welcome when we arrived. Holt is a lovely place nice people and great shops and cafes.

Great location, easy short walk to the shops and restaurants. Light curtain in the bedrooms let daylight in and woke us up early. Pleasent garden with seating area.

Generally, the cottage was well furnished & comfortable. Secluded garden and a pleasant, easy walk into town. The neighbourhood was quiet and felt safe. Holt is a delightful town with lots of interesting, independent shops and provide easy access to many Norfolk Beaches.

7 wonderful days spent in this cottage which is in an ideal spot for easy access to all the main attractions in North Norfolk. Holt is a great little town with all the amenities you will need. We even had a week of sun. Will definitely be back,

Cottage is warm, comfortable and well equipped. The stairs really are steep though and there is a street light directly outside which is bright at night. Quiet location very convenient for walking into the lovely town of Holt and as a base for visiting Norfolks many attractions.

The location was ideal, only a short walk into Holt where there was a good selection of restaurants, fifteen to twenty minute drive gave access to many more. The North Norfolk Railway was just 20min walk from the cottage, well worth a visit and a train ride into Sheringham. Delightful cottage. Tastefully furnished, with local art. Well equipped small kitchen. The additional shower room was very helpful when both bedrooms in use. Garden looked attractive for warmer months. Would definitely book again.
