The lovely village of South Creake is just a few miles from Burnham Market, and features a charming village green and a church admired by John Betjeman. South Creake is home to the Yorke Trust and the North Norfolk Music Festival. You will be ideally situated for exploring the spectacular Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, perfect for nature-lovers, cyclists, walkers and birdwatchers. Nearby is an Iron Age fort on Bloodgate Hill and a Saxon church at Waterden. Other popular local attractions include RSPB Titchwell Marsh, RSPB Snettisham, Blakeney Point and the Holkham Estate. Beautiful beaches are within easy reach, and there are plenty of popular villages and market towns to discover, including King’s Lynn, Hunstanton and Fakenham.
On entering this beautiful converted former coach house, which is set in the grounds of the owner’s house and is built in traditional brick and chalk with pantiled roof, you will find yourself in the delightful open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Retaining plenty of original features including exposed beams and a central chimney, this is a lovely space to relax in. The welcoming and comfortable lounge has plenty of seating, Smart TV and an open fire. There’s a delightful dining area, and the kitchen is fully equipped with an AGA-style oven, electric oven, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. An outhouse houses a washing machine, freezer and an extra fridge if required. Exploring this characterful property further, there are two cosy bedrooms on the ground floor: a spacious single room with an additional pull-out bed, and a large twin room. There is also a shower room with basin and a WC. Heading up the spiral staircase to the first floor you will find a galleried double bedroom.
Stepping outside you will find a very pretty, private, enclosed garden to the front of the barn with garden furniture, which is an ideal space to sit back in and dine al fresco. You are also welcome to go into the larger garden beyond, but please note that there is a pond and the tiny River Burn runs through it. Barn owls nest in the grounds and you can watch them hunting and hear them call at night. Off-road parking is available in the grounds for two cars.
