This fabulous coastal holiday home benefits from a desirable location on Beeston Common, a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). It’s a peaceful place to relax after a visit to the bustling seaside town of Sheringham and its beach, 0.5 miles away. The vibrant town offers a Little Theatre, a wealth of independent stores, coffee shops, pubs and restaurants, a museum, leisure centre and golf course. Enjoy a wander around the National Trust’s Sheringham park, or hop on The Poppy Line’s Steam train to Weybourne and Holt. This stretch of coast is a superb part of Norfolk for wildlife watching. With the coast path close by (0.5 miles), the bird centre at Cley-next-the-Sea (8 miles) and the seal colony at Blakeney Point (9 miles), there are plenty of opportunities to see animals of all kinds. Climb aboard the mainline train to Norwich, which makes for a great cultural day out with its cathedral, history, and shops galore.

This lovely, homely cottage is set across three floors and offers a fantastic retreat for families, nature lovers and anyone wanting a quiet get away within walking distance of Sheringham Town. The ground floor has a cosy lounge area, complete with a wood burner which is ideal for cosy nights in. The kitchen is fitted with everything you need, and the dining table in the dining room seats up to six guests. On the second floor you will find a large double room with en-suite shower room and WC. A further king-size and bunk room are on the first floor and share the ground-floor family bathroom which has a shower over the bath and WC. All rooms boast ample storage space for your clothes and personal belongings.

Outside an enclosed garden to the front to sit and watch the sunset over the common and also a patio area to the rear complete with garden furniture perfect for dining alfresco.

  • There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £250 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £30. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.

An amazing stay in this beautiful home from home. Everything you could possibly ask for and more. Bed so comfortable it was like sleeping on a cloud. Short walk into a lovely little town. Plenty of choice for food & drinks. Will definitely come back and stay at wagtail cottage

Had a really lovely week at Wagtail cottage, a really lovely property in a great location, a very nice area and brilliant walks into Sherringham and the seafront. All Rooms were nice and amenities and equipment ideal. About a 15 min Pleasant stroll to pebble beaches and the bustling town high street. Convenient Local Store couple of mins walk and SRead moreupermarket 3 mins drive. Cottage was more than comfortable for us 2 Adults and 3 Teens. Hide

The holiday cottage was perfect! I booked it for my in laws and they loved it! The children loved playing in the garden and it was so local to everything. The cottage was beautifully decorated and the bedrooms were very comfortable and cosy

A really lovely cottage- everything you need in a home away from home. Our dog loved the garden. The utility room was v handy when we came back wet and sandy from the beach. There's a pleasant little footpath to get into town.

Extremely comfortable, superbly equipped cottage in a great location overlooking Beeston Common. It had everything we needed right down to mats and towels for the dog. Once we had unpacked we felt totally "at home" and had a very enjoyable week.
