The charming, traditional seaside town of Sheringham offers something for everyone with an array of things to see and do. The North Norfolk Steam Railway has steam trains running frequently to the pretty Georgian town of Holt and Weybourne, the Reef Leisure Centre (with indoor heated pool) and the Mo Museum offer indoor fun, and there’s also a superb local golf course. The bustling high street offers a wealth of independent stores, coffee shops, pubs and eateries, catering for all tastes from locally caught fresh seafood to Indian cuisine. For some great days out, visit The Muckleburgh Military Collection (3.5 miles) or the National Trust properties at Felbrigg and Blickling (7 and 12 miles). Wiverton Hall (8 miles), Bewilderwood (23 miles) and Roarr! Dinosaur Park (21 miles) are also wonderful attractions that are slightly further afield. Or why not take a boat trip out at Blakeney Point to see the country’s largest colony of grey seals just 12 miles away?
