This wonderful, modern bungalow offers a family or three couples the perfect holiday home in the picturesque coastal village of Blakeney.

The scenic village of Blakeney with its beautiful quay just a short walk away, is the perfect base for exploring the truly stunning North Norfolk coastline. The village has a choice of places to eat and drink and is nestled in the beautiful Blakeney National Nature Reserve, which offers plenty of opportunities to spot local wildlife including a fantastic array of seabirds. You can even get out on the water from Morston (1 mile) taking a boat trip, to see a colony of grey seals on Blakeney Point. Cley (1 mile) is just a short drive or walk away and is home to the wonderful Cley Marshes Nature Reserve and just nine miles away is Wells-next-the-Sea, boasting a picturesque harbour as well as a beautiful sandy beach.

Enter this unique property into the lobby-come-hallway area and you instantly feel its unique design with its high ceilings, natural stone floor and all-round spacious feel. Head straight forward into the well-equipped kitchen with granite worktops and dining area, where the chef of the group will have everything they need to prepare a light snack or a hearty meal. With its electric "Rangemaster" oven and 5 ring induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, in no time at all they’ll be serving up delicious fare to loved ones at the dining table, which can seat up to six guests. There is a utility room off from the kitchen which has a combi washer/dryer and the room has a side door which is best to use if you have muddy boots or paws. The lounge area is the perfect place to relax and unwind with a comfortable sofa and four armchairs so fire up the wood burner and cosy up in front of the Smart TV which is in its own bespoke cabinet/bookshelf with plenty of books provided for you to enjoy too. Two of the spacious bedrooms have large wardrobes for any personal belongings. The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room and WC and there is a family bathroom for the remaining two bedrooms to share with a shower over the bath and WC, providing a perfect way to revitalise or soak those tired muscles after your coastal walks.

Access to the enclosed garden is through the back door or through the two side gates and here you have a patio area that drops down onto the lawn. There’s a picnic style bench for you to sit at and enjoy some drinks of an evening or a spot of al fresco dining. There is private, off road parking for up to two cars to the front of the property.

This is a convenient cottage for visiting Blakeney and surrounding area. Parking can be tricky if using two cars. The heating system is very good - we were cosy. We don't cook on holiday but the toaster worked well... There are about 400 books for reading on a rainy afternoon but the weather was very good for us.

Absolutely loved spending a week in samphire! I was able to access in and around house which was brilliant..although bathroom wasn't as easy but I'm lucky to be able to stand/move so was much of a problem for me. Getting out to garden would be a problem If you are wheelchair user but didn't worry me as weather wasn't summer!..must say our dog spentRead more hours out there, just chilling on grass! House was so lovely and warm, clean and well equipped. Location was great too, blakeney is beautiful. Hide

The house is in a great location, an easy walk down to the village and there is a good area nearby for walking the dog. The house is very well equipped and comfortable and there is parking for 2 cars at a squeeze. The surrounding area has some lovely village pubs and cafes but expect to pay top prices for the privilege of eating out in such a lovelRead morey area. Hide

The property is very well appointed, plenty of utensils in the kitchen. Lounge and dining area very comfortable. Location is good for walking to the quay. Downside - massive tree in neighbours garden sucks any sun from the garden by early afternoon. There is only a pub type bench to sit at.

This bungalow is very well located just ten minutes walk from the quay, the shops and both pubs. It has ample parking for two cars which is a rarity in Blakeney. Although close to the main road it is set far enough back for us not to be troubled by traffic noise. It is well equipped and comfortable with an enclosed rear garden. Another lovely Easter break at Samphire Retreat. We booked again after a great stay last year, and had a wonderful time again. The house is spacious and very comfortable with all the mod cons and equipment you might need - Great for a family of 4, including one teenager and a feral 7yo who greatly appreciated the space, games, books and satellite TV on the one rainy day we stayed in. Lovely Bungalow. All you could,ask for. Only improvement would be some more mirrors in the bedrooms and a long mirror praps in the hall. All that being said we would definately re visit as our 4 days were perfect. Great location and Blakeney is a little treasure of village.

Lovely holiday home, spotlessly clean, spacious & comfortable. A lot of equipment available, crockery, glasses etc but some minor things such as cleaning products missing. The wardrobe in one bedroom is in use by the owners so no hanging space is available, ok for a couple of days but not ideal for longer. There are no mirrors in 2 bedrooms or the Read morehall so hair drying is challenging! The location is great & we loved the area. We would be happy to return again. Hide
