Located in the tranquil village of Briston, this lovely flint cottage is just 3 miles from the popular Georgian town of Holt, which offers a great choice of restaurants, tearooms and pubs, as well as a variety of independent boutique shops and art galleries. The beautiful Norfolk coast is within easy reach, with plenty of traditional seaside towns to explore including Wells-next-the-Sea, Sheringham and Cromer, all offering stunning beaches and great activities for children. In less than 45 minutes by car, you can be at the glorious waterways of the Norfolk Broads where you can hire a boat for the day and explore the scenic waterways. If you are looking for a day of retail therapy, Norwich is only slightly further afield.

Entering this property via the front brings you into the entrance hall where to your left is a snug area with two large sofas and a TV providing the perfect place to unwind. The lounge area is next along and here you have two sofas and two sofa chairs along with a feature fire place and TV. The dining area is located off from the lounge and has table and chairs for up to eight guests; through the patio doors ,you have glorious views of the garden and fields beyond so this is a great spot to enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner. The kitchen is off from the dining room and has an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and a coffee machine. There is a utility room which has a washer/dryer and downstairs WC. Heading up to the first floor, you will find a twin room, a double room, a large family bathroom with shower over bath and WC, a king-size bedroom and then a further king-size room with en-suite shower room and WC. All bedrooms have plenty of storage space for your belongings.

Access to the rear garden is via the utility room or the dining room patio doors and this leads out to a large enclosed garden with views beyond of open fields and woodland. There is a table and chairs here, which would provide an excellent place in which to indulge in some al fresco dining. Please note there are foxglove plants in the garden we would advise to supervise children and dogs.

A lovely house, deceptively large. We were a family of 6 with plenty of room to meet or avoid accordingly! Possibly the cleanest house any of us have stayed in, a welcoming smell of bleach when we arrived. Beds were comfortable, linen spotless and ironed. The cottage is set in a great location with easy access routes to the North Norfolk coast, The garden is superb and ideal for alfresco dining with the use of the BBQ! The only slight negative was, the cottage is showing some signs of wear & tear and would benefit from some TLC and a deep clean to remove some of the dust build up on some of the surfRead moreaces. What an amazing place to stay. The house was gorgeous, well equipped, and spacious. The garden was HUGE (the photos don't do it justice). I didn't want to leave.

A lovely spacious holiday home with a wonderful secure garden wonderful for dogs, bbqs and relaxing- we had fantastic weather allowing us to make full use of the garden. Railway Cuttings is a lovely cottage. It is very clean, warm and well-equipped. We particularly enjoy the dog-friendly and secure garden. We love the village location with several local walks on the doorstep. It is a great base from which to explore north Norfolk and the coast. Thank you!

We had a lovely weekend stay here. Really spacious and all the bedrooms were lovely. If it had been nicer weather the garden was also beautiful. We were really close to the Thursford Christmas Spectacular and also not too far a drive from Cromer and the beach. We will be back.

The house was perfect for the 8 of us, beautiful garden, very well equipped kitchen and really well situated: Briston is so useful with its excellent shops, all at a walkable distance from the house. It was beautifully clean upon arrival, and we appreciated the welcome basket.

We are family of 3 generations & a dog visiting for 1 week. I found the property perfect for us. A lovely location with friendly neighbours offering advise on the best dogs walks locally. There is plenty going on in the local area whether you fancy a war museum, a zoo, a boat trip or anything in-between. The property itself had a lovely well kept gRead morearden, comfy beds, plenty of communal space and a snug to hide away for some quiet time. A comfortable, spacious house in a really quiet location. Our dogs loved the large garden and it was great location for access to Holt and the coast.

We had such a magical Christmas at Railway Cuttings. It was decorated for the season and had everything we needed. It was warm and cosy and the beds were very comfortable. The garden was beautiful and the few was lovely. There was plenty of space for everyone including the dog. We had a lovely walk around the village which was beautifully lit up.
