This cottage is located close to Weybourne village centre, just a few hundred metres from the shop, tearoom, and pub. Continue through the village to discover the shingle beach which lies just 0.5 miles from the property which is a popular spot with anglers. For one of the region’s most spectacular sandy beaches, head west around the coast to the harbour town of Wells-next-the-Sea some 14 miles away, or alternatively pay a visit to Cromer, a traditional seaside resort which lies just 8 miles east of the cottage, which also has a pier theatre with summer and winter shows. Sheringham also has a beautiful sandy beach and is located just 4 miles from the cottage, here you will find a glorious cliff top golf course and an elaborate new indoor swimming pool and modern theatre/cinema. In the village (400m from cottage) is a historic private-run steam train which travels to the popular Georgina town of Holt. Nature lovers can visit Blakeney (4 miles) to visit one of the the largest colony of grey seals in the UK via one of the unique in-harbour seal herd boat trips.

Three external steps lead to the front door of this cottage, which opens into the cosy lounge/diner where guests can immediately make themselves at home on the comfortable sofa. In the evenings, light the wood burner and cosy up with a favourite film on the TV/DVD. In the kitchen is equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and washer/dryer. There is also a second dining table in the kitchen with seating for two: an ideal spot for enjoying a morning coffee.  The bathroom is also located on the ground floor and offers a shower-over-bath and WC. Steep cottage-style stairs lead to the first floor where there are two bedrooms. The first bedroom has twin beds which can be pushed together to form a double, and is a homely room overlooking the front of the property. The second bedroom, meanwhile, is a peaceful single room. Please be aware that the period and style of the property means that there is a sloping ceiling and some reduced head-height in the first-floor rooms.

Outside there is a lawned garden to the rear of the property, as well as a pleasant patio with garden furniture providing guests with a place to enjoy relaxed al fresco drinks during the summer months. There is parking provided for two cars and an outside keylock ring for bikes.

STAYED IN NUMBER 2 CROWN HOUSE FOR THE SECOND YEAR RUNNING. POOR WEATHER SO WE SPENT A LOT OF TIME IN THE COTTAGE AND SHERINGHAM. QUIRKY COTTAGE WITH LOTS OF CHARM. THE DESCRIPTION OF THE PROPERTY STATES THERE IS ROOM FOR 2 CARS. Crown House is very pleasant cottage in a great location. The cottage bathroom and kitchen are somewhat dated but otherwise working and in good order; this did not cause us any concern and it felt a welcoming place. The front garden has good parking for one vehicle and a fixing point to lock bikes. The rear garden was pretty, quiet and pleasant to Read moresit in, particularly during the afternoon when it gets most sun. Bedrooms and beds are comfortable, and quiet at night time. Hide

Lovely character cottage. Comfy beds. Well equipped. Great location for beach, a short walk. Close to Sheringham for shops and close to Cley for bird watching. Beautiful gardens. Very steep stairs, the trick is to come down backwards.

Small, cosy cottage in a lovely location. We really appreciated the charming decor, the comfortable beds, the small private garden, and having a pub a few minutes walk away that does great food. We really liked the location as it was near to the coast, salt and freshwater marshes and great for wildlife. Nice cottage but the stairs are unsuitable if you are not very good on your feet.

The cottage is handy for anywhere along the North Norfolk coast, especially with the excellent daytime bus service. We found everything we needed. There was plenty of room for two of us, and three would manage too.

EXCELLENT WEEK STOPPING AT No 2 CROWN HOUSE. VERY QUAINT COTTAGE WITH EVERYTHING YOU NEED. STAIRCASE IS VERY STEEP BUT THAT'S WHAT YOU GET WITH COTTAGES. VERY CLEAN AND TIDY AND A NICE LARGE TELEVISION THAT IS EAST TO OPERATE. ALL THE UTENSILS ARE THERE TO USE + LOTS OF POTS AND PANS. JUST BE CAREFUL WHEN PARKING YOUR VEHICLE. The cottage is charming and has everything you would need. It's very peaceful, a wonderful place to relax in. We had a wonderful holiday in Norfolk and the cottage played a special role in that. Would book there again and again.

Very comfortable, equipped with all the essentials, lovely garden, and close to the pub, shop/cafe, beach, and the coast bus. It's a traditional cottage, so has steep stairs and low head-room in places, but it's a great holiday let.

The cottage is quirky. The stairs are a little challenging, especially at night. The garden is delightful. Very well placed for exploring North Norfolk.

Very comfortable cottage. Very good facilities and location. The kitchen worked very well considering it's size and the separate closets for the fridge freezer and washing machine helped with this perfectly. The cottage had every conceivable extra, nothing was left off!!!
