Upon entering the cottage, you will find yourself in the welcoming entrance hall where you can kick off your shoes and hang your coats. The first room you will find yourself in is the bright and spacious family kitchen which is very well equipped, with Bosch and Dualit appliances, fully integrated dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, fridge freezer, gas range style cooker with two electric ovens, large refectory table seating six, pegs for coats, digital Roberts radio, stone floor, underfloor heating and double doors onto the garden. The lounge has cosy oak flooring, an open fireplace and Chesneys wood burner, two comfy sofas, armchair, coffee table, flat screen Sony smart TV with Freeview and Netflix plus a DVD player. You can also find a WC on the ground floor.

After a long day of exploring, take the stairs up to the first floor. The master bedroom features a locally-crafted king size brass bed with Hypnos mattress, ample walk-in wardrobe storage, chest of drawers, bedside tables, reading lamps and en-suite shower room with a walk-in rain shower, console sink and WC. The second bedroom is a twin room with two comfortable full size single beds, built-in wardrobe, small set of drawers and bedside lamps. The third bedroom offers a small double bed, table, lamp and built-in wardrobe. There is a large family bathroom on the first floor with rolltop bath, perfect for a long soak after a day’s exploring the beautiful North Norfolk beaches and coastal paths.

With underfloor heating throughout the ground floor and radiators upstairs as well as the log burner in the living room, the cottage is warm and toasty during the cooler months and throughout the year is filled with light all day long.

A shingle driveway to the side of the cottage provides private, off-road parking for two cars. There's a gate to a secure, fully-enclosed garden that is safe for dogs and children. The garden is also accessed via double doors from the kitchen.

We had a lovely week in October 2024 half term at Walnut Cottage. The property is very comfortable, well appointed and in a great location. Definitely recommend an evening meal or two at the Rose and Crown in the village.

Really lovely stay at Walnut Cottage. The cottage had everything we needed and was ideally located for exploring the local area. A stylish property with comfortable beds in a lovely, village ( the builders merchant opposite does start early. If you'e a light sleeper!) We had a lovely holiday at Walnut cottage. Everything was thought of and very well equipped. Good location for visiting surrounding area. We couldn't tell it was a dog friendly cottage. Very friendly blackbird that waited at the back patio doors to be fed sultanas. Also look out for the Hedgehog that visited at night. Very well maintained property in a very attractive Norfolk village. Excellent Caf 50 yards away and a wonderful Pub/Restaurant (Rose & Crown) 150 yards away. The only down side was the weather, which was Wet!!!

Lovely well equipped comfortable cottage. Ideally situated for local amenities. Garden is small put perfectly adequate. Parking is a little challenging but ok once you get the hang of it. The builders merchant across the road can be a little noisy early morning but didn't bother us. We found the beds very comfortable. The stair gate was useful. Wonderful cottage in a perfect location in a lovely village. 2 excellent pubs nearby and lots to do around the local area. Comfortable living room, spacious dining room and kitchen with all the equipment you need to prepare meals. Garden smaller than pictures suggest but more than enough for our 2 children and dog. This is a lovely cottage in a lovely setting with a suntrap garden. The garden table and parasol was fab. Spotless on arrival with a thoughtful welcome gift on the kitchen table. The fridge freezer was a good size compared to other rentals. The beds were very comfortable with lovely white linen and thick towels provided. An airy living space and a Read morepleasure to be in. This was our fourth visit. We love coming here and hope to do so again. Snettisham is a delightful small village with a Coop, pharmacy and pubs. Plenty of attractions within one hours drive, leaving aside the frequent local buses to Hunstanton, Lynn and beyond. Thoroughly recommended.

This cottage is one of the best we've stayed in. Clean, comfortable, tastefully decorated and perfect location to explore the north Norfolk coastal villages & countryside. Also a shop, cafe and 2 pubs on your doorstep. The only reason we havent given it 5 stars is the garden was in some serious need of TLC. The cottage is in a lovely situation,with ample parking,essential as there is quite a bit of traffic associated with the builders merchant. I wouldn't have wanted to park my car on the road. Loved our stay. Been to Snettisham before over 10 years ago, so we already knew the area. Upon entering the property we found it clean and comfortable. As a party of 4 adults there was ample space and it had the added bonus of two bathrooms. Had a couple of meals at the Queen Vic, tasty and very reasonably priced, with pie night and steak night. We thoroughly enjoyed our recent week in the cottage. It is beautifully presented, furnished, comfortable, cosy and warm, with modern touches. It is very well situated for beaches, walks and many places of interest and also in the lovely village, being within walking distance of a couple of pubs, the Co-Op and bakery. Had a wonderful few days at Walnut Cottage. Beach walks and the pub, perfect. The cottage itself is clean, well equipped and perfectly located in the village. Had huge family fun over the Christmas period.
