A luxury retreat with exceptional views  -  Dating from the mid 18th Century Samphire Cottage is a fabulous family getaway, a stones throw to the inspiring North Norfolk coast. The spacious interior is modern with a clean, fresh feel yet remains sympathetic to the original features and the traditional brick and flint exterior.

Everything here is designed to soothe you into a relaxed state of calm with its stylish décor and comfortable modern furnishings.

However the unique factor of this cottage are the views of the Cley Windmill and out to the marshes beyond. There is a small balcony opening off the bedroom, making the most of these wonderful views. Gable end onto Cley High Street and set behind its own gated driveway Samphire offers a central location yet offers -  as a result of its orientation - a quiet, good sized courtyard with pergola.

Using the back door you enter a practical utility room with washing machine, dishwasher &door leads to the WC.

From here you come into the spacious kitchen with quality well fitted wooden units and a wonderful electric double range cooker. This is a well equipped kitchen and has a good sized dining table positioned by the windows.

The sitting room is another good sized room with quality comfortable sofas a very decent sized TV and DVD. Warm and cosy anyway it also has a woodburning stove.

Up the stairs to the first floor and the two bedrooms and a family bathroom. The twin room is just lovely – painted in a calming sea green furnished with solid oak bedframes, quality mattresses and the original fitted cupboard now used as a wardrobe. The original pretty fireplace ( non-functional) is still in situ.

Next to the twin room is the upgraded family bathroom. Of a good size there is a shaped bath with the shower over and the most attractive ‘stone’ themed tiling.

But the double room caps it all. Large and spacious with dual aspect windows it also has a king sized bed. Again it is furnished with a quality solid oak bed, double wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside cabinets. However this room has a quite unique and spectacular view. From the double doors – glazed for their full height – you can sit out on the balcony ( or inside in less clement weather) and admire the wonderful view over to the Cley Windmill and the marshes beyond.
